In terms of Mathematics, we have designed School-Curriculum Maths Programme (SCM) and Extra-Curricular Maths Programme (ECM), in order to match the different needs of students. The School-Curriculum Maths Programme is a complementary programme to that students study at school, and its focus is on school tests and exams. We have absolute confidence in the effectiveness of the programme as the exam results of our students have all improved dramatically.

The Extra-Curricular Maths Programme is for students who already have a deep interest in the subject and would like to further their knowledge outside the school curriculum. It is an intensive programme that trains the students’ analytical mind and sensitivity to maths.

Maths has always been a very simple subject. All it requires at primary and secondary school-levels is dedication and discipline. MODUS believes that every student is capable of doing well in maths, as long as they are dedicated in finding out and understanding the concepts, and disciplined in analysing questions step-by-step and practising them.



School Curriculum Maths Programme (SCM)

SCM specifically tackles school maths exams and our syllabus is based on that of Hong Kong schools. The programme ensures a much better understanding of every topic and fine-tunes the students’ answering techniques.

The emphasis of the programme is on the training of students’ analytical skills and critical thinking. We guarantee that they thoroughly understand all the topics covered in the school syllabus, and therefore do well in the exams.

There are 12 levels in SCM. Our Head of Student Programmes will assign students to the class that is best suited to them. In addition, there are 2 half-yearly tests as preparation for their school exams.

Extra-Curricular Maths Programme (ECM)

ECM is especially suitable for students who are deeply interested in the subject. Apart from dramatically raising their understanding of number systems and enhancing their sensitivity to everyday life usage of maths, the programme also aims to heighten the creativity of the students’ mathematical minds.

In terms of inducing new mathematical concepts in the students, a large part of the programme revolves around the exploration of Maths Olympiad questions and answering techniques.

There are 12 levels in ECM. Our Head of Student Programmes will assign students to the class that is best suited to their respective levels based on the assessment results. In addition, there are 2 half-yearly tests, the results of which will determine whether the students would be promoted to the next level.

Fee

The fee of Amusing Maths Programme is standardised at HKD 150 per class across all 12 levels. Each class is 90-minute long.

As a registered learning centre of the Education Bureau, we only charge a monthly tuition fee for the coming month.

Enrolment Procedures and Timetable

  1. Reserve an appointment for assessment by calling 2803 2689, 1 day in advance. An assessment normally takes 30 minutes.
  2. We will mail/email a detailed assessment report to the parents within 3 working days.
  3. Based on the assessment results, MODUS will recommend the most suitable programme(s) for the student and a proposed class schedule will be attached. We will come up with a schedule that best meets the student’s time table.
  4. Students can attend a free trial class so as to sample the MODUS learning experience. Only after that they can decide if they want to join our programmes.
